Gil Schuerholz, Owner and Director of Tennis

Gil is the co-owner of Forty West Tennis Club and he has been in the tennis industry for over 30 years in the Baltimore area.   He is a former ATP ranked player, winner of 16 USTA National Senior Championships and won over 80 Mid-Atlantic and Mid State Championships.  He is a 2-time captain of the USA National Team in Majorca, Spain and Antalya, Turkey.  He has been inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame at Towson University and Dulaney High School.  He is an excellent coach with experience teaching all ages and levels.   

Dave Carroll

Dave has experience providing tennis instruction to individuals and groups of all skill levels and abilities.  He has coached middle and high school tennis teams and has coordinated a summer camp for the past five years.  Dave is also a former Division II college tennis player and former number one ranked player in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Dave is extremely excited to work with the amazing team at Forty West Tennis Club.  He looks forward to continuing to build relationships with students, families, and staff and to instill a life-long love of the game of tennis.

Alex Dagilis

Coach Alex has been playing tennis since the age of 4 and has been playing in tournaments since he was 8. He was ranked in the top 10 in Maryland during his last year playing 18 and under tournaments. Alex went on to play D3 tennis at Muhlenberg College, leading the team in wins his junior and senior years. After graduating early and cum laude, Alex was named to Muhlenberg’s 2010-2020 All-Decade team and was set to become the Assistant Coach for the college before the Coronavirus pandemic. He has been coaching for 9 years and specializes in developing tournament level players.

Rieck Foelber

Coach Rieck was the Director of Racket Sports at  the Roland Run Club for 39 years. Rieck has many Mid-Atlantic and state titles to his credit and has been ranked #1 in both singles and doubles.  Rieck was selected as a Baltimore area training pro working with elite junior players.  Rieck was the Mid-Atlantic 65 and over singles champion in 2016 and 2017.  He has participated in 6 national USTA Championships over the past 12 years.  He was inducted into the Dulaney High School Hall of Fame in 2011.  Rieck still holds the all time career strikeout record as a pitcher for High Point University.  Cardio Tennis, Doubles Strategy sessions, working with USTA teams, and private lessons are his passion.

We are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday. We close early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
